Flow Promotion Liners

Flow Promotion Liners for Mining Bins and Hoppers

Blocked flow in bins, chutes and hoppers leads to material build-up, uneven discharge and avoidable downtime across mining operations. Polytech Plastics delivers engineered flow promotion liners that improve material movement, minimise hang-ups and extend the service life of critical handling assets. Built for abrasive Mining conditions, our liners are specified, fabricated and installed under one accountable scope.

What are Flow Promotion Liners?

Flow promotion liners are low-friction, wear-resistant linings installed inside bins, hoppers, chutes and transfer points to improve bulk material movement. Their purpose is to reduce sticking, bridging and material build-up that can disrupt flow and reduce throughput.

In Mining environments, liners are typically manufactured from materials such as UHMWPE, HDPE and other specialist wear-resistant polymers selected for abrasion resistance, low coefficient of friction and impact strength. The correct material choice depends on ore type, particle size, moisture content, temperature range and flow characteristics.

Improve flow and reduce production disruption

Without properly engineered liners, bulk materials can bridge, rat-hole or compact within storage and transfer systems. This leads to reduced throughput, manual clearing, safety exposure and accelerated structural wear.

Key advantages include:

  • Low-friction surfaces that promote consistent material flow.
  • Wear-resistant materials suited to abrasive ore and slurry conditions.
  • Reduced blockages and manual clearing requirements.
  • Improved throughput and operational efficiency.
  • Custom fabrication to suit existing bins, chutes and hoppers.

Correctly designed liners support predictable flow and improved plant reliability.
